When the subject is not important or unknown, we use this form:
The food is made (by someone)
Hindi is spoken (by someone)
We do this in two steps:
1) First we conjugate the ja verb
Hindi jati hai = Hindi goes
2) Add the past tense of bol -> bol-i
Hindi bol-i ja-ti hai
The roti goes =
past tense of make =
The roti is made =
The rice goes =
past tense of cook (paka) =
The rice is cooked =
only conjugate the ja for the future tense
Hindi boli jati hai -> Hindi boli jaegi
the roti will be made =
the wall will be painted (PAINT kar) =
only conjugate the ja for the past tense
Hindi boli jati hai -> Hindi boli ga-yi
the roti was made =
the wall was painted (PAINT kar) =
