agar mai dekh-u = If I may see OR If I were to see

agar ma ja-u = If I may go OR If I were to go

 

This form is used for low-probability conditions

Another use of the subjuntive is the “may” command:

 

Radha ga-egi = Radha will sing

Radha ga-e = Radha may sing (as an instruction)
